Membership Interview Form
Interviewer Name *
The goal of the shepherding ministry at Northland is to fulfill the Lord’s command to love Him by shepherding his sheep John 21:17.
Shepherding begins by establishing a relationship with people under our care. A good shepherding relationship begins by spending time with those God has brought to us and while present, listening to their needs and making observations on how we can serve them.
The first task before us is to connect each new member with a “person of care” that can fulfill the shepherding role.
Your role, that we so appreciate, is to gather enough information from new members so that we can wisely connect them with the most suitable shepherd/helper. To assist you we have prepared the survey below for you to complete with each new member assigned to you for the initial interview. This outline is to serve as a guide for the questions provided on the questionnaire form
If possible, try to have the interview in person (before or after church), however phone or Zoom is also fine and probably more likely.
You can set up the appointment by email or text or phone call. We have found that people generally prefer a heads up via text prior to a phone call. Just mention who you are and that you would like to find a time to follow up on their Northland membership with an introductory call for the purpose of exploring how Northland can best serve their needs on their spiritual journey.
